Join DKMS for an unforgettable trek through Jordan’s Wadi Rum - a challenge of vast desert beauty, epic summits, and life-changing purpose.

We’ll journey deep into the dramatic Wadi Rum Wilderness, crossing sweeping red sands and weaving between towering sandstone and granite mountains that rise straight from the desert floor. Each day brings a new stretch of raw, untouched landscape as we trek nearly 100km through one of the most awe-inspiring environments on earth.

As the adventure unfolds, we’ll wild camp beneath vast desert skies glittering with stars, sharing stories around the fire in true Bedouin style. Then comes the ultimate test - summiting Umm ad Dami, Jordan’s highest peak. From 1,854m, you’ll take in sweeping views across Jordan and into Saudi Arabia - a summit moment earned through grit and determination.

But the journey doesn’t end there. We’ll travel on to the ancient city of Petra, the rose-red wonder carved into rock, walking through the Siq to witness one of the world’s most extraordinary historical treasures - a breath taking finale to an already powerful experience.

This is no easy desert walk - it’s a true test of endurance, resilience, and spirit. But the reward? Unmatched landscapes, lifelong memories, and the knowledge that every step helps give more people with blood cancer a second chance at life.

Payment Options

All participants will need to pay a deposit of £500 to secure their place on the trip.

There is a choice to then either fund the full £1,895 cost of your place, and commit to fundraising a minimum of £1,000 for the charity, or commit to raising a minimum of £2,895 before the trip.
