Join DKMS for an unforgettable trek through Crete — a challenge of wild beauty, ancient history, and pure adventure.
We’ll begin along Crete’s dramatic coastline, hiking to the hidden village of Loutro, once a pirate stronghold. From there, we ascend into the Sfakian highlands, crossing the spectacular Aradena Gorge with its ruins, Venetian forts, and Byzantine churches.
Next comes a rugged 10km hike to remote Agia Roumeli, where rare wildlife meets the crystal-clear Libyan Sea. Then, we take on the legendary Samaria Gorge — 16km through towering cliffs and one of Europe’s most breath-taking landscapes.
Still not done! Mount Gingilos awaits. At 2,080m, it offers sweeping views of the White Mountains and Libyan Sea — a summit moment you’ll never forget.
We’ll end in the vibrant port town of Chania, rich with color and maritime history.
This is no stroll in the sun — it’s a true test of grit, training, and purpose. But the reward? Incredible views, lasting memories, and the knowledge that every step helps give blood cancer patients a second chance at life.
