Become a donor - save a life

Join us for a life-changing event this International Happiness Day!

Make a difference. Change a life.

20 March 10am to 3pm – Alexandra Square

This International Happiness Day, Lancaster University is proud to support DKMS in their mission to increase the number of stem cell donors worldwide. By registering as a stem cell donor, you could be the one to save a life.

“It was an incredible feeling knowing my stem cell donation changed someone’s life,”
— Jon Powell, Head of Enterprise and Innovation at Lancaster University.

When Jon Powell made the decision to become a stem cell donor, he never imagined the profound impact it would have. Now, he is sharing his story to inspire others to join the fight against blood cancer.

“The patient I donated to is doing well, out of hospital, and cherishing moments with her family. If my family or I ever need help, I hope someone will be there for us too.”
— Jon Powell, Head of Enterprise and Innovation at Lancaster University.

By registering, you’re not just adding your name to a list – you’re giving someone a chance at life. Imagine being the one to provide that gift for someone who needs it the most.
