Support DKMS UK at your wedding
You’ve found your perfect match, so why not help people with blood cancer to find theirs?
By choosing DKMS wedding favours, you'll help more people with blood cancer find their potentially lifesaving stem cell match.
Each guest will receive a DKMS heart-shaped pin badge to remember your special day and the difference your celebration has made. The badge is presented on a tent card that includes more information about DKMS.
We ask for a donation of £3.50 for each favour. To say 'we do' and order your wedding favours or ask any questions, please contact us at fundraising@dkms.org.uk.
Earlier this year, Richard and Paul celebrated their wedding surrounded by loved ones.
Their special day also carried a deeply personal meaning. Paul previously had leukaemia and, after receiving a stem cell transplant, was given precious extra time with his loved ones – including the chance to get married to his best friend.
To acknowledge this blessing, they wanted to give something back with their wedding.
“We had over 100 of our favourite people in one room and thought, when do you ever get that chance to talk about something that really matters?"
“Instead of wedding gifts, we asked everyone to bring a bag of shopping for a local foodbank. And instead of traditional wedding favours, every guest received a DKMS wedding favour and learned about stem cell donation."
“Many had never heard of DKMS before", Richard explained, "so if even one person registered as a stem cell donor because of our wedding, it would have an impact far beyond that day – and perhaps give someone else, like Paul, the chance to have their own big day too.”

Celebrate your way

Wear it Red
Take your celebration one step further by turning it red for DKMS UK. Encourage guests to wear red, decorate with DKMS balloons and banners, and help spread awareness of blood stem cell donation. It's a fun and simple way to start conversations and inspire more people to join the register.
