Every year on 28 May, we raise awareness about World Blood Cancer Day (WBCD). Our goal is to raise awareness about blood cancer and stem cell donation in order to give as many patients as possible a second chance at life. World Blood Cancer Day is the ideal opportunity for you to become a stem cell donor or to raise awareness about DKMS! So, what are you waiting for? Join us in making a difference and help us save lives!
We need YOUR help to spread the word and support our mission this World Blood Cancer Day! Here’s how you can get involved…
Download our handy selection of World Blood Cancer Day materials to help share the message far and wide.
On May 28, why not share a post on social media, hang up some awareness posters at your workplace, or send a friendly message about DKMS to your friends and family?
Every little bit helps, and together we can inspire even more people to join the stem cell register!
Just download the materials below, and don’t forget to share the link dkms.org.uk/register to direct people to our "Become a Donor" page, where they can order a swab kit — just like you did!
Gather your community, neighbours, colleagues, family and friends for an in-person event to register them as potential stem cell donors. The DKMS team is here to support you every step of the way - don't hesitate to reach out!
Contact UsEach new potential donor costs £40 to register on the UK stem cell registry. Help us cover these costs by donating to DKMS. Each year more than 39,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with a blood cancer or disorder. New patients need our help each month - help us give them a second chance at life.
