Lifesavers in Lockdown

Person wearing a DKMS T-shirt sitting down

Over the last several months we've seen DKMS supporters find creative and inspiring ways to support our cause from the comfort of their own home and despite any restrictions. From Ginny, who ran 120 miles at home to raise money for DKMS; to Gary, who donated his blood stem cells before putting himself and his family in quarantine in order to give someone a second chance at life; to Sally, who helped us spread the word and get thousands more people on the register. As UK coronavirus restrictions continue, why not use your time to do something amazing, support DKMS and be a Lifesaver in Lockdown?

There have been and continues to be, lots of challenges because of Covid. But there’s also plenty to celebrate.

As we all know, not all superheroes wear capes. Some wear trainers, gaming headsets or even cocktail dresses. You can be a lifesaving hero from your own home and do something incredible!

We are all facing difficult and uncertain times. For someone living with blood cancer or a blood disorder, such worries are multiplied. It is vital that we continue to register potential lifesavers, but the COVID-19 crisis means that our planned fundraising events and activities can no longer go ahead in the conventional sense. That’s why we need you. Together we will beat blood cancer from our own homes.

We’ve created a whole range of activities for you to get involved with, either alone or with friends and colleagues. Whether you want to have fun, get fit or get competitive, we’ve got a virtual activity for you. Take a look below at what we've got lined up, and remember, we're always here to help so don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
