14 November 2017
We hosted the UK’s first DKMS Big Love London Gala on Thursday 9 November at the Natural History Museum.
A successful evening
A huge thanks to the sponsors who helped to make this happen. Over 500 guests attended and with their support and kind generosity over £1 million was raised so far, with that figure expected to rise!
The money raised is essential in helping us register more potential blood stem cell donors to give blood cancer patients in need of transplant a second chance of life.
A special thanks
The event was hosted by our founder Peter Harf, his daughter and our Global Ambassador, Katharina Harf, and Charlotte & Alejandro Santo Domingo.
The evening saw Ritesh Kukreja, 9, from Bhiwani, India, meet his blood stem cell donor Hardeep Bains, 42, from Derby for the very first time.
Maya and James Boyd shared their story about finding a matching donor for their son Cassius, Lord Dalmeny of Sotheby’s hosted the auction and the guests were entertained with a special performance from LP.
Guests included Jamie Redknapp, Eva Herzigova, Francesca Versace, Camilla Rutherford, Irina Lakicevic, Sabine and Joseph Getty and Tamara and Georgio Veroni to name a few.
A special thanks to the members of the Gala benefit committee and everyone else who was involved in making it such a successful evening.

How you can help
It costs us £40 to register a new blood stem cell donor and we recruit tens of thousands of new potential lifesavers every year. With your support we can continue our lifesaving work and register even more blood stem cell donors that are urgently needed.
To help us cover donor registration costs please make a money donation or check the other ways to get involved in the fight against blood cancer. We are very grateful for any contribution towards the cost of donor registrations, no matter how big or small.
