Jonathan Pearce – UK Chief Executive Officer

Jonathan joined DKMS in 2019 as the Chief Executive Officer of UK operations, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience within the charity and health care sectors.

Jonathan has over 15 years’ of CEO experience in the UK charity sector and has led organisations such as Adoption UK and Lymphoma Action. Before joining DKMS, he also worked for the global Lymphoma Coalition Europe where he was Regional Director.

Reshna Radiven – Head of Communications and Engagement

I joined DKMS in January 2020 and have been the Head of Communications and Engagement since November 2021. With more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and communications across different sectors including publishing, professional services and not for profit, I was keen to lead the team at DKMS to achieve more for patients with blood cancers and disorders.

I have a personal connection with the cause as I have seen people from the Indian community fail to find a matching donor, and want to be able to play my part in reducing this. Through the work that the team and I do, I want to reduce the number of patients we cannot find a donor for, by educating minority ethnic communities on the importance and simplicity of becoming registered as potential stem cell donors; and the limited risks of them donating their stem cells when called upon.

Helen Kelly – Head of Donor Request Management

I joined DKMS in 2018 as the Head of Donor Request Management. In my role I oversee the team that supports donors who have been identified as a potential stem cell match for a patient. We also work closely with Transplant Centres and Hospitals here in the UK and around the world to make sure we provide the best possible care for our donors and patients.

After studying Physiology at The University of Glasgow, I moved to the charity sector and now have over 10 years’ experience working for charities such as the British Red Cross and Breast Cancer Now. When a close friend of mine donated his stem cells in 2014, I was inspired to sign up to become a donor and jumped at the opportunity to work at DKMS a few years later.

Alongside my team, I get to see some of the amazing and selfless things our donors do to help someone they’ve never met. We play a small, but vital part in supporting donors to give a second chance of life to a patient in need. I’m still waiting to be matched myself!

Caroline Richardson – Head of Fundraising

My role as Head of Fundraising means that I am responsible for creating and implementing a fundraising strategy that enables us to register more potential lifesavers.

I joined DKMS in April 2015 as the Corporate Fundraising Manager. The charity was only two years old, so I felt that it was a place of great opportunity and where I could really make a difference to people’s lives. I took over as the Head of Fundraising three years ago.

Before joining DKMS, I was a nursery teacher for 13 years before moving to The Abbey Centre in Westminster where I wore many hats. I developed a number of initiatives there, but primarily set up and ran an early years social enterprise.

I lead a fantastic team of dedicated fundraisers working together to coordinate fundraising activities and events that encourage people to get involved and support the lifesaving work of DKMS UK. We are continuously inspired by our amazing supporters!

Regina Salih

I have worked for DKMS as a Human Resource Generalist since 2018, supporting the organisation and all its staff with recruitment and selection, payroll, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, training, learning and development and all other HR matters.

I joined DKMS because I was looking for a role with a cause and always knew it would be a charity connected to cancer due to losing my grandfather, aunt and cousin to the disease. When I found the DKMS role I knew immediately that I could contribute by recruiting amazing, talented people committed to giving patients a second chance of life.

I previously worked mainly in educational and retail HR for 14 years in the Middle East and UK. While in Qatar I worked in a Ministry of Education School and served as a member of the senior leadership team overseeing all HR matters.

I love being so close to the cause and working with colleagues who are equally passionate. My hope for DKMS is that it continues to grow and provides even more matches for those who need a second chance of life.

Help us to register even more lifesavers

We’d love it if you could help us to get more people on the register so that everyone who needs a blood stem cell donor can find their match.
