Timm, 38, has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) for the second time. His only hope now is a blood stem cell transplant from a stranger.
"Blood cancer doesn't affect everyone, but everyone has the chance to save a life by joining the DKMS blood stem cell register," Timm's wife, Fine, says as she urges others to consider registering.
A former competitive rower and marathon runner, Timm feels most at home when he’s in nature or at metal concerts. He enjoys experiencing different cultures and their cuisines and he can spend hours discussing craft beer and whisky with friends.
Timm, from Frankfurt, Germany, is happily married and loves all aspects of life. But he found the true love of his life with the birth of his daughter, Leonie. Timm hopes that he can show Leonie the beauty of this world.
"I would like to walk our daughter, Leonie, down the aisle one day," he said.
If you’re aged 17-55 and in general good health, please consider joining the register by clicking the button below. You may be Timm's perfect match.
