Robin's Call for Donors

Robin's Story

Robin was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) earlier this year. Robin needs a stem cell transplant as soon as possible, as AML is known to have a high relapse rate of 80%.

There is no matching donor for Robin on the UK stem cell register, and a search has begun on the international donor registry. For many people with blood cancer or a blood disorder, a stem cell transplant is their only hope - yet 4 in 10 patients still do not find a match. DKMS is a charity dedicated to increasing the number of potential donors on the stem cell register, providing second chances at life for patients in need. Robin is calling on more people to come and register as stem cell donors!
