Leo's Call for Donors

Leo's Story

Leo, 16, from Bromsgrove is in many ways a typical teenager – he loves gaming and Virtual Reality; he has a close group of friends and he recently began studying electrical engineering at college.

But he has also received a devastating leukaemia diagnosis, and urgently needs to find a matching stem cell donor.

“There is no way to describe the utter heartache. Leo is our only child and our best friend,” says his mum Jenna. Now Leo’s family is urgently working with blood cancer charity DKMS to search for a stem cell donor who could give him, or others like him with blood cancer, a second chance at life.

Joining the stem cell donor register is quick and easy – a few minutes of your time gives hope to Leo and patients like him of finding their perfect match.

Recently at the event in Bromsgrove, 718 people signed up to the stem cell register - but we need more!
