Baby Ellis urgently needs a lifesaver. Could it be you?

At just 10.5 months old, Ellis from North Devon has already spent much of his little life in hospital.

He has a rare, life-threatening blood disorder called Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome and needs a stem cell transplant. But right now, he doesn't have a suitable matching donor.

“Despite everything he's been through, Ellis is hitting his milestones. He loves watching Ms Rachel, crawling around at lightning speed and is even starting to pull himself up for his first wobbly steps,” share Ellis's parents, Matt and Caitlin.

But while other families are enjoying these precious firsts, Ellis's parents are living with the uncertainty of what comes next: “These first few months with Ellis have been tainted in a way, as we’ve spent so much of his life in hospital already. But we’re just trying to keep positive.”

Matt and Caitlin now urgently appealing for more people to join the stem cell donor register.

"We just want to do as much as we can to raise awareness. While we might not find another match for Ellis, we might help someone else. We can't sit here and do nothing," they share.

Somewhere out there could be the person who gives Ellis, or another patient like him, a second chance at life.
