Going the distance

Stephan, who has worked for the charity both in Germany and the UK for over 23 years, is an avid runner. He previously completed the Windermere marathon in 2017 and has raised thousands to help with the cost of registering more potential blood stem cell donors.

Stephan said: "So many people go the extra mile to support us and I wanted to make my mark. I've been a passionate runner for many years and it was an honour to run on behalf of a charity that I feel so passionate about.

“It was an incredible feeling to cross the finish line and have the support of the crowd cheering you on. Congratulations to all the other runners.”
