Heidi's Story

9-year-old Heidi from Sheffield loves to dance, swim and play with her friends. Those who love her say she is gentle, kind and full of life.

When her leukaemia returned earlier this year, her family’s world was ripped apart.

“Heidi’s just not herself anymore. The medication and treatments have taken so much from her. Each day, each poke, each prod - it breaks my heart. I just want my happy little girl back,” shares her mum, Lucy.

Heidi is starting new treatment but if it doesn't work, she may need a stem cell transplant.

Heidi’s story has already inspired hundreds to join the stem cell register. But right now, so many other children and families still need help.
