Why is DKMS registering 16 and 17 year olds, if they actually cannot donate until they are 18? 

Registration before the age of 18 gives DKMS the chance to further engage with potential young donors about stem cell donation, which hopefully will have a positive impact on the availability of donors when they are matched to a patient.
