Wiltshire joins the fight against blood cancer

We’re excited to welcome the Wiltshire Volunteer Hub as the latest addition to our group of dedicated volunteers. Our volunteer hubs fulfil a vital role in the recruitment of potential blood stem cell donors at a local level. Founded on 12 July 2017 by Lauren, Sarah and Jane, the hub is predominantly active in the West Wiltshire area but aims to raise the presence of DKMS in surrounding counties too. The team of volunteers have already hosted an awareness raising event at a local market. This event included the registration of new potential blood stem cell donors to the UK stem cell registry.

The team of volunteers have already hosted an awareness raising event at a local market. This event included the registration of new potential blood stem cell donors to the UK stem cell registry.

The hub’s next event will take place on Sunday 3 September 2017 at the Emergency Services Show, Kemble/Cotswold Airfield.

If you’re in the area, please come and say hello. We'd love to share more about the work we're doing in the fight against blood cancer. You could make a day of it and bring your friends along too.

To keep up-to-date with the hub's other activities, follow them on Facebook.
