For the study of haematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cell therapies of haematologic malignancies
This programme, dedicated to the memory of Mechtild Harf, is intended to provide research grants to promising young scientists aiming to advance the understanding of complications and therapeutic strategies in the context of haematopoietic cell transplantation and/or cellular therapies for haematologic malignancies. The programme is funded and administered by DKMS.
Applications can be submitted from 1st October, 2017 - 31st January, 2018
The Mechtild Harf Research Programme provides two awards a year, with a preference for one application focused on clinical research and one focused on laboratory based research. Grants consist of a maximum of €240,000 support over three years, contingent on adequate progress of the research. Each funding year runs from 1st July to 30th June. Two scholars will be selected from among the eligible applications for the funding period 1st July, 2016.
The research proposal must address issues of haematopoietic transplantation and/or cell therapies for haematologic malignancies. These studies can range from cellular, to pre-clinical animal models, to human studies including co-funded clinical trials.
