On World Cancer Day, we and all international DKMS entities are very proud to announce that we have collectively now recruited six million people as potential blood stem cell donors!

The six millionth person to register is Miriam Mata, a high school student from Florida who registered online with Delete Blood Cancer in the United States shortly after her 18th birthday.

She had been listening to music on the Spotify app and heard an advert about becoming a donor and potentially being able to save a life, which inspired her to register online that night.

Now she is on standby to save a life!
