In memory of Margot Martini

On the 21st February 2014 Margot received a bone marrow transplant from an anonymous person who had registered as a stem cell donor. The donor’s kind, benevolent act was Margot’s best chance of beating her blood cancer and it gave her extra time with her family and loved ones, for which they are forever grateful.

Margot’s family and friends, otherwise known as Team Margot, wish to increase the number of people on the stem cell registry. We are asking people to consider registering to go on standby to donate some blood stem cells for people like Margot.

It’s so easy to register and only takes 15 minutes. If you are in general good health, between the ages of 18-55 you can become a potential blood stem cell donor and pre-registration is possible from the age of 17. If you are willing to donate some of your blood stem cells, a simple swab of the inside of your cheek will tell us your tissue characteristics and you too could be a lifesaver.
