Antonio has a rare form of lymphoma

Antonio, a 38-year-old father from Jersey, is fighting a rare form of lymphoma and is now searching for a blood stem cell donor.

A message from Antonio's wife, Maria

“Antonio is the kindest and most selfless person you could imagine. He lives for his family and the thought of him not being around is unbearable.

“He’s been fighting this disease since October in 2017 and at the moment he has to travel to London every fortnight for treatment.

“It’s been a long and difficult journey but we haven’t given up hope. We just need to find his genetic match. We just need more people to join the UK aligned stem cell registry.

“My husband selflessly dedicates himself entirely to his friends and family, but now he needs our help,” said Antonio’s wife Maria.

How you can help

Antonio’s future now rests upon receiving a blood stem cell donation from an unrelated matching donor.

So far, no-one in the world has been identified as a genetic match. Given Antonio’s Portuguese heritage, it’s likely his genetic match will be found in someone with a similar background.

Nevertheless, we’re asking everyone who can to register so we can give as many people as possible a second chance at life.
