The 2.6 Challenge

Calling all Home Heroes!

On 26th April, thousands of people should have been pounding London's street for 26.2 miles in the London Marathon, including some amazing DKMS fundraisers. To celebrate what would have been the 40th London Marathon, we're asking you to take on The 2.6 Challenge from your own home.

People of all ages are taking on The 2.6 Challenge with a host of activities – from walking, running or cycling 2.6 miles, juggling for 2.6 minutes, to holding online workouts with 26 friends. The ideas and options are endless!

The only requirement is that you must follow Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing. Most people are taking part from Sunday 26 April but you can do your activity whenever is most convenient for you.

There are just five simple steps to take:

  1. Dream up your 2.6 challenge – whether that's a 2.6km run, a 2.6 minute plank, or seeing how many cream crackers you can eat in 2.6 minutes. The possibilities are endless.

  2. Click here to donate £26.20 – or whatever you can afford - to DKMS or set up a fundraising page here.

  3. Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do their own 2.6 Challenge for DKMS.

  4. Complete your challenge on 26th April (or whenever you can).

  5. Share a photo or video of your challenge on social media with #TwoPointSixChallenge and tag us @dkms_uk
