Barbara is 35 years old, happily married and the proud mother of a two-year-old son. She is a cheerful, warm person and loves to laugh.
Suddenly her family life was changed. Barbara had been suffering from what she felt was a summer cold but was actually diagnosed as acute leukaemia. Now she urgently needs a suitable stem cell donation in order to help her recover.
Barbara is a big football fan and likes to keep her fingers crossed for her team. Her great wish is to get well again, to cheer on her team from the stands and celebrate victories together with her family. But to do so, Barbara must find her genetic twin and defeat the blood cancer.
Barbara's' family, friends and colleagues want to take action and are calling on call on everyone for help:
"Register! It can happen to anyone at any time and completely unexpectedly. Babs wants nothing more than to get well and be with her family. Otherwise, she is the one who helps everyone. Now she needs our help!"
Join the stem cell register today to give Barbara, and patients like her, the hope that one day they will find their lifesaver in waiting.
